mw3 Software Installation and Demo Instructions

First time install

Download either the XP or Win98 full install zip file. Unzip the file and run setup.exe, then follow on screen installation instructions.
Note that the XP version should be suitable for 98 & 2000 operating systems as well, but in practice there can be severe problems so only use XP install if you are running XP.

If you have purchased mw3 hardware then you will need to install the USB drivers – see web site for details.

Software Upgrade  (If your existing installation isVersion 1.x.x)

Remove previous versions of mw3 software (use Control Panel>Add/Remove ) and then manually delete any directories (eg. Program Files\Mw3) that still remain.

The new Version 2 software uses a different system for storing user settings, so your existing settings will be lost. However the new system is much improved and settings will not be lost when performing future upgrades.

Executable Upgrade (If you have installed Version 2.x.x)

To upgrade to the latest version it may only be necessary to download the executable file (mw3.exe). Having unzipped the download, locate and replace your existing mw3.exe file with the new one. If you used the default installation directory it will be found in Program Files\Mindwalker.

Running the Demo program

If you have used the default installation settings, the program can be run from Start>Programs>mindwalker>mw3

To run the demo, click the Load button and navigate to the demo1.wav file in the Program Files\Mindwalker\Samples directory. Then use the multimedia control buttons to play back the demo. Provided you have working audio on your computer, you will hear my voice and see on the dial the response from the electrode I am holding.

By default, the program will run in Demo mode. If you have purchased mw3 hardware then go to Source>Connect to establish connection with the hardware.
